31 Pharisee and the Tax Collector - Lk 18
Today’s reading is from The Gospel of Luke Chapter 18
The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
From this passage of scripture, we learn that
When we come before God in prayer, we are not to come condemning other, but rather we should offer them up in prayer, and ask God to bless them.
John 3:17 says: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. That’s the attitude we must have; to lift up rather than tear down.
Ephesians 4:29-32 says: 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake...
